Recently I photographed a couple who had not had their photo taken since their wedding engagement years ago. Their children had been asking them to get new photographs done and it was such a pleasure for me to be their photographer. We had the session at Christopher Columbus Park in Tucson, AZ. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful sunset.
A couple weekends ago, I went with a family to Catalina State Park in North Tucson to do their portraits. The weather was beautiful and the family was great to work with. The children loved getting their pictures taken and were excited to be hiking all over the park. We hiked up a trail that followed the ridge of a mountain. There were spectacular views and great desert scenery.
At the end of July, I photographed a quinceañera (15th birthday celebration) for a family friend. It was a beautiful event which included a mass and reception. The event was held in Phoenix, AZ. The birthday girl, Alyssa, was beautiful in a flowing gold ball gown and tiara. Below are some images from the days events.
With the recent snow on the ground, I decided to go hiking at Catalina State Park in Tucson, AZ. The park has beautiful scenery and trails into the mountains. The streams were running and all the saguaros were covered in snow. I took my parent’s dog Caesar for company and I think he had as good a time as I did.
After leaving Baltimore, my cousin Jessica and I headed for Savannah, GA. It was wonderful to get out of the cold weather and explore the beautiful city. Savannah was amazing and with all the parks, fountains, and plazas, our walk around the city kept turning into a photo shoot. Thank goodness my cousin is such a good sport when it comes to my photography,
I have finished the Professional Photography Program at Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts and it is time for me to move back to Arizona. Now, in order to do this, I have to drive from Boston to Tucson. I love road trips and visiting new places so I have been looking forward to this trip. Also, my cousin Jessica has flown to Boston to drive back with me. Not only will she keep me company and help me drive, she is also an excellent model to have with me at all times.
This journey of ours began on Thursday. After packing and loading my car, which I can tell you was no picnic, we headed from Boston to Baltimore. We spent the whole next day in DC and we definitely packed a lot into that day. We went to the Capital, the botanical gardens, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Memorial, and the White House. After such a grueling day, we also killed a few hours before our train back to Baltimore at an amazing Irish Pub called Fado.
Last weekend was a busy shooting weekend. After photographing Tristan at the Frog Pond and Jane in the snow, I was asked by two fellow classmates and friends to photograph an engagement shoot they were doing. They needed stills and video for a promotional video they are making for their upcoming studio and business. We all headed to a park in Concord, MA and the photographers got to work.
